How to Prepare a Traffic Collision Report?

In material damage accidents, acquire the following documents from the drivers involved in the accident and fill in the Traffic Collision Report completely.

  • Copy of Driving License
  • Copy of Vehicle License
  • Copy of Traffic insurance policy
  • Photographs of all vehicles involved in the accident at the site of the accident

In which cases the Traffic Collision Report is not required to be filled?

In some accident cases, you need to take the minutes down of the accident without filling the Traffic Collision Report.

  • If the traffic accident resulted in injury or death,
  • If the things of public institutions or the third parties were damaged in the accident,
  • If the parties involved in the accident could not agree as to the occurrence of the accident,
  • If one of the drivers involved in the accident is under 18 years of age,
  • If one of the drivers involved in the accident is suspected of mental health,
  • If one of the drivers involved in the accident is detected to have used alcohol,
  • If there is a driver using a motor vehicle without a license or insufficient driver's license,
  • If one or more of the vehicles involved in the accident do not have Traffic Insurance*,

you can call 155 Police or 156 Gendarmerie to take the minutes down.

*For vehicles coming from abroad, the Green Card certificate replaces the Traffic Insurance.
